The Situation:
Our client, a major big box retailer, wanted to expand into Georgia. The project
costs for developing this new site were budgeted at $15 million.
Approach:
TCM created a vehicle which allowed the retailer to avoid property taxes on the
property for 20 years. This included both personal and real property taxes.
Results:
The client received a total of $2.5 million dollars to improve its ROI on the
project and allowed the local municipality to enjoy the sales tax revenue from
such a project.
